Yeah, even though I think he's a great character, Rudy is def. an MC you're not supposed to like or relate to overly. Kinda like you're supposed to hate Humbert Humbert from Lolita, though not to that extend.

I can't wait for them to get into this show. While their are some bad uncomfortable moments this series is soooooo goood and the good stuff totally outweighs everything in my opinion.

I wonder how they would feel about Shield Hero..... They obviously make it aware that most Isekai they know of they don't really care much for but I honestly (with the exception of a few things) think that shield hero does pretty good with some stuff they may actually like.

man mushoku is so good!, im reading the light novels and the story is so good, such good characters, power systems, lore, and it is also unique and differs from how todays isekai do things, in terms of tropes and twists. and the anime is very well made. if the anime adapts it all it should make around 112 episodes.

What I find kinda funny about this reaction is that its been a full year + a week that the first episode of MT aired. Here's hoping we don't have to wait *too* long for the next season just like another great and amazing isekai, Re:ZERO

Yeah, just to let anybody know: Mushoku Tensei season 1 is 23 episodes, which adapts the first 6 volumes of the LN. The LN series is slated to go for about 26 volumes. That's definitely a lot of content to be included, and possibly even some anime-original episodes too.

I do'nt think Rudy is unlikeable at all. I think because of the CONTENT of the show, people think they're supposed to say that they don't like him so i think those numbers are pretty inflated because people don't want to admit that they're rooting 100% for a total pervert. I like the hell out of Rudy. Yeah, he's a pervert and thats no bueno and all but he's genuinely a GREAT main character and very well written.

Slime Season 2 is actually really good. It fixed the mistakes from season 1. You should really reconsider.

This is a great show. The stuff about the MC is complicated and interesting. I feel like "unlikeable" vs "likeable" is a bit too reductive. I think Rudy is actually a really interesting portrayal of a neet getting isekai'ed. He has this mentality of it being very game-like. He has conversations like hes in a dating sim, practicing magic is memorizing combos, etc. He doesn't treat it like a real world and like these are real people who his actions influence. He gets caught up in the fantasy adventure-ness of it and I think that it could be hard to readjust that kind of mindset. I think that he is likeable in that he generally does good things for good reasons, but when he forgets that his actions have consequences, it's legitimately really bad and that shouldn't be glossed over.

I actually thought Rudeus was one of the best/funniest parts of the show. Especially with Sugita voicing him. Don't really think its all that big a deal, people are just more sensitive to characters like this nowadays.

I haven't seen the new season of Zombieland Saga on polls anywhere just wondering if that was something they were planning outside of patreon polls or it hasn't been brought to their attention yet (I have a feeling the latter option is less likely tho)

Judging my the comments already this is gonna be one of the more controversial shows they watch. Even if I don't like the MC as a character, the story is well written which then makes the MC a lot more tolerable in the early episodes.
