Ayame and Minae are just goals

That is actually a pretty fun shop! I thought that it was going to be way... dirtier..? Or something? I wouldn't say that it doesn't have that at all but I love that he is having so much fun creating clothes. I like creative shops like that.

just to clarify, Hatori, Shigure, and Ayame were already stated to be 10 years older than the main trio :)

Ah this episode I love it so much. Thank God this episode was filled with humor and heartwarming moments starting with such a messed up memory. Seriously yikes. I already loved Ayame as a character but this episode goes more deeply into him and made me appreciate him even more. He may be too much at times but the humor that comes along with that more than makes up for it especially because he and Shigure enable each other. The fact that everyone including the audience is surprised he was willing to reach out to Ayame speaks to how hard it has been to deal with things that make him uncomfortable in the show so far. You can really see the character development he has gone through during the show throughout this episode. Yuki’s reaction to the shop is perfect comedic timing and honestly I would also be wondering what sort of shop it was after Tohru’s comment and I don’t think being wary is uncalled for with the way Ayame acts all the time. However it is a nice surprise that it’s quite a lovely little shop. I love Minae so much even in just one episode her sweetness, excitement/skill for making clothing, relationship with Ayame and being caring/supportive toward him all of it is incredible and her design is really pretty. Also bonus in the dub her voice actress is one I like a lot. The fact he made so many of these outfits is extremely impressive. I’m glad we go more into how he hurt and let Yuki down not helping him when he reached out needing to be defended from his mother and Akito. His self reflection, fears and empathy towards Yuki’s pain really shows his genuine attempts to change and have a relationship with Yuki. I think Ayame's creative desires and self-doubt are so relatable especially as someone who creates reaction and discussion videos myself and I love the connection it has with Yuki’s gardening. The entire conversation between brothers is so heartfelt and emotional becoming able to understand each other better even if their differences make it so they may never completely understand each other. I love seeing Yuki’s determination to confront his head on having to deal with his parents for the conferences and his brother wanting to do everything he can to support him. The idea that both of them being so different is not a bad thing because each of them makes up for what the other lacks is profound and a lesson everyone should take to heart. Even if Ayame doesn’t always go about it the best way I really admire how hard he’s trying. Also Tohru in a classical style dress ensemble is not just cute but beautiful as well. Looks like we found one similarity between the brothers they flirt in very charming ways. The whole awakening thing is ridiculously funny in the best way. Great discussion about Ayame & Minae as characters and loving your theories on where Yuki’s character development is going. I agree about needing more heartwarming episodes like this with such dark and sad things being explored in this show. I loved the reaction and I can’t wait for more especially particular episodes. Keep up the great work. :-) <3
