I'm a super duper HxH fanboy as pretty much everyone knows... but I think I have to admit that you guys reacting to GTO might be my new absolute favorite thing of the week from now on. I just have so many good memories of this show.

Bro why don't you comment anymore on the monster videos? Did you stop watching it?

SmilePlease

I'm sorry, I paused Monster for an indefinite amount of time. I would really like to continue to write my thoughts and opinion about very single episode down but I just don't have enough free time anymore to do that in the forseeable future. I really loved everything I've seen of Monster yet and I'm sad as well that I can't experience it alongside the SOS bros anymore (since I really want to write down what I think after every episode even if it isn't for the SOS comments section).

Nox

Caught the GTO bug again, now I gotta reread the whole series

Rachid Idibar

you can do it like the first time when you paused monster and do a general review/thoughts on the latest episode ^^

Yuion

Yes even I have to admit that this is pretty enjoyable to watch with them. And i personally didnt like GTO

Jacky Lin

i really like the ep, who's with me

Vern

One of the mods need to tell them who Onizuka's VA is.

Robert Martin

Been watching anime since 2000 and I've never heard of this show. I'm in love with it so far and excited to watch it with you guys!

This is incredibly popular in Japan, it had 2 live action series before the anime, and the anime is somewhat based on the live action show. This show realm defined the 90s

Findel

It is a pretty good show. It came out at the tail end of the 90's. The issue was actually getting it in the states. It was licensed by Tokyopop, which is deader than all the dead horses now, which might as well have been the shitty, 'Hot Topic,' of anime companies. It was impossible to get the dvds back in the day.

Vern

I was first introduced in the early 2000's with the dub, by David Lucas. Same guy who does Spike in Cowboy Bebop.

Findel

David Lucas? Spike's dub actor is Steven Blume. Unless Lucas was a pseudonym Blume was using at the time. Also Steven Blume is in everything. If the anime is dubbed there is over a 50% chance Blume did a voice. He is one of the rock stars of dub. Sadly, my favorite dub voice actor, Crispin Freeman doesn't seem to do anime much anymore.

Vern

I had to look it up on his wiki. David Lucas is the name Steven Blum used in a lot of anime.

Sadovari

@Findel, Oh god. Crispin Freeman. He was such an amazing voice actor. Wish he still did work, not that I watch much dub these days.

Loro Lukic

Starting binge watching this now, its soo good

Dio

GTO started 2 months before One Piece did. Both in 1997.

Findel

He's doing a lot of work in video games nowadays. One of the newest ones is Winston from Overwatch. So He is not out of the VA game completely just doesn't do a lot of anime any more.
