Truly an amazing episode in some many ways! The new OP is just top notch, tHe AnImAtIoN indeed! Caught you talking about Tsukki taping his fingers during the practice with Akiteru’s team - taping is very common in volleyball, because blockers want to keep their fingers intanct lol, at least more or less. Diarrhea pressure point is a thing in Japan lol, I believe they have a few others too (so it’s believed that if you press it, you get diarrhea as a kind of relaxation, hence why Hinata freaked out). Tanaka’s and Nishinoya’s midair stop was awesome, and of course the toilet scene! Love seeing you guys actually react to the soundtracks before the scene itself even starts. Haikyuu soundtracks are just amazing (same composer as BNHA btw). And of course that Hinata&Aone interaction :") Loved hearing your theories on the tournament too, especially Shiratorizawa! Can’t say much on that tho, you’re gonna have to wait and see for yourselves. What I can say for sure though, is that it’s gonna be so much hype it’ll knock your socks off, much like the OP. Apparently I’m one of the few people lucky to have internet in this middle of nowhere lol, so fortunately I won’t have to wait for 2 weeks to watch the new reactions, yay~ Thanks for the great discussion!

"Kei" isn't a nickname, it's his actual first name. His mom and bro don't call him tsukishima/tsukki because that's also their name.

A couple more comments since I love this show - 1) I love the moment when Oikawa mimed how Mad Dog was blessed to play with him, and he would "make him feel that way". I got chills when that happened haha. 2) The new opening is so dope...and it only grows more powerful as the tournament progresses!! Brings a tear to my eye guys ;) Thanks for the reaction again!

Mad Dog's real name is Kyoutani Kentaro, and in Japanese the word for a mad dog is 'kyouken', so you can see how Oikawa made that nickname up for him

I really like then ending animation. It really looks like the manga in motion. Then pulls to full color anime style when Oikawa looks up. Also the reason Tsukki taped his fingers was because he jammed his fingers. Some players tape beforehand to protect their fingers to keep that from happening.

Also as a manga reader it is really tough to not to say anything...especially when you theorize or speculate...the struggle is real. I really like that no-one is spoiling this for you!!! Prepare your hearts and throats as the rest of this season is hype.

So much I want to say but Agh!!! I can't risk leading or spoiling. I'll just say absolutely wonderful reaction AND discussion of course. Man, Haikyuu ever after like 5 rewatches still got me so hyped and passionate I'm near to tears! XD Also, that intro was just too much (in a good way)!

Up until this episode, I had the completely wrong image, of "Great King" Oiwkawa. This is so much better. And apparently Oikawa shares a birthday with Alexander the Great.

Adding this because I noticed some slight mistranslation in the subtitles. I think Caleb pointed out that Terushima (Jouzenji) also said that he wanted to stay on the court for as long as possible, but that’s not quiite right. He says smth along the lines of 誰よりも遊ぶべ, and asobu means play, as in “have fun,” so I’d say the phrase is mostly about having fun rather that what Hinata implies (though I guess that much like Hinata wants to stand on the court for as long as possible, Jouzenji want to keep having fun for as long as possible too). But they are a party team after all.

!) YES! Oikawa's "You little brat" and his "I'll make you feel that way" gives me goosebumps along with those chills. He has some very intense lines with a personality to match. And 2) I know! It really evokes hype and ugh so beautiful.
