SOS Bros React - HunterxHunter Episode 85 - Heads Will Roll

Hahahaha...and we thought *last* episode was bad...Oh boy. If only Kite reacted faster. Alas, he didn't keep his head in the game. But poor Gon...and *poor* Killua... I've been very hype for this.

let the fun begin

Jacky Lin

yup that happened

Rhiannon

Yep. I guess she's pretty strong.

Monty

I just want to say that most of the first half of this episode was filler. Not that it really matters but since the anime left out Kite in the 1st episode they felt a need to make up for it now. The Nen Master stuff was taken from when Nobunaga said masters of En can reach up to 50 meters.

Monty

Romel is a future favorite. trust.

Charles Sgnt

39 : 55 hohohohohoho

Monty

Mhm. Caleb understands.

This has been one of my favorite HxH discussion of yours. I'm glad the scene with Gon and Killua hit you as hard as it did for me. You guys really shine (no pun intended) when discussing characters and their depth and development.

Yuion

I kinda think your audio generally is relatively low. I have HxH on 1% and you guys on 100% and you are kind of the same volume

Evan Mayes

I can't wait for Semblance of Sanity to see Netero in action. I always think of Nen like power levels in DBZ. Every character has a certain amount of their power/nen they naturally let out of their body in their day to day lives. So when Killua said he thought that Netero and the other two hunters could probably not beat Pitou. Think rationally, Netero most likely has a very deep well full of nen energy waiting to be released and when it is it will be like a geyser.

Ooooh it’s killing me. I don’t want them to think Kite was weak... ahhhmygaaawd. Lol. When... ahhh hold it in. Don’t say iiiiit. Okay. Kite was by no means weak, if anything he was stronger than two of three.

Damiester

Remember guys 2 episodes ago, they were discussing royal guards 1v1 with Gon, Killua and Kite.

Anonimowy Gaal

Guys, i really feel like recently while watching HxH you have A LOT to say and this fact i love. However, it seems like you're often getting so into your discussions that you tend to miss a lot of small, but very important details about plot points, hidden meanings etc. I might be wrong, but that's how i feel so i wanted to communicate this to you or to the mods. I just want you to not get lost in it :P Because you really have to focus while watching this arc more and more with every episode xD I hope i don't have to worry, you've never ever disappointed me, guys <3

Very nice discussion on this one! I just hoped that they'd notice the weird weapon that Kite got for this fight and that he did not complain when getting it rolled :D

Damiester

Seconding this. They're more focused on hoping their theories come true than actually reacting to what's happening on screen. Even during the discussions, we can see that.

Damiester

One of Sun Tzu's top strategy was to avoid fighting though. So in that sense, Kite ordered them to do the right thing. Cut losses before they lose everyone.

This episode is the introduction of my two favorite OST. To Give a Marionette Life and Legend of the Martial Artist. Can't wait to hear more of them in the episodes ahead.

This is where things get real guys :)

Technically, there are no "stages of grief". That people think the unsubstantiated theory that grief comes in distinct "stages" is a real biological fact continues to boggle my mind.

Also with regards to Jacob's favorite moment with Killua walking out of the forest - I think the melancholy electric guitar really did a great job at conveying the tone of the scene. Great stuff.

Anonymous

Guys please focus in the episode and let the discussion to the end

Aliye

What you didn't notice is that Kite did actually put up a real fight against Pitou even without an arm. I mean just look at the surroundings at the last scene. That was a forest surrounded by trees, but at the last scene...I just don't want you to think Kite is weak. Great discussion on Killua by the way. So happy that you understand his pain.

So..more episodes a week now? :D

They are gonna be crying alot in this arc

Minashiro Soushi

Weird, I don’t have any problems with their audio. Using YT on 100%, shows get around 80-60% volume.

Nox

Now that you know the stakes....3rd slot please

Leaky Peach

Well, I kind of agree with you, but not really. I believe that the 5 stages of grief don't necessarily have to be in any order (ex: My grandma died of cancer sooner than we expected and I wasn't able to shed a tear, I just accepted it) (btw, I'm not a sociopath or anything). But I feel that people should definitely ditch the notion that everyone experiences each stage of grief.

Moaaaar

Minashiro Soushi

Pffft, I know for a fact, there’s two-three moments, where I’ll cry for sure. This freaking arc gets me every time! X_X
