SOS Bros React - HunterxHunter Episode 73 - You Done Goofed

Wow. So Killua gave the smack down to his opponent in a very satisfying way, but even so it feels like nothing compared to the amount hilariously amazing punishment Bisky unleashed on that poor soul. Talk about a final form!! And as far as Gon vs. Genthru, Genthru is looking *real* scary, but he made a grave tactical error. He engaged Gon in a battle of willpower!!! For anyone using youtube multiplier, don't use the Mangaup.net video (73-80 compilation) as it cuts the opening and thus throws the timing waaaay off. If you do use that video in the multiplier, know that Caleb & Jacob are 47 seconds ahead, once the OP has ended.

ooohh soon soon we get to the, in my opinion, best anime arc in the history of anime

Damiester

One of the 40 or so guys killed in this arc wanted a Breath of Archangel to heal his friend who got his face blown up by Genthru in the cave. That's probably the first or second time you've heard of the card?

Damiester

Genthru has always been extremely competent though. He could've easily relied on his powers to threaten people like he did in the second half of the Greed Island Arc. However, he chose to play the safe game and tricked a bunch of players into collecting most of the cards they needed before the big reveal in the cave. I think the primary reason why you thought little of him is because you concentrated too much on the Phantom Troupe.

Thursday cant come faster!?!

While I agree there's more to Genthru than most give him credit for, I'm not surprised they were surprised. Genthru kind of just comes out of nowhere with exceptional skill and combat sense. I'm not saying that's convoluted though, the whole reason his turn works is because the story treats him like another side character until then, and that's cool. But it is also what makes him seem like the most "villain" stock villain in HxH.

Damiester

Can't say I agree to that. As I've mentioned above, from the very introduction of his character, Genthru has been fairly level-headed for the most part. He's outsmarted most of the participants and was able to gather 97 restricted pocket cards as a 3-man team. Nothing he's done so far proves otherwise. If he wasn't going against the protagonist of this story, there's no reason to believe that they'd fail in the end.

Damiester

I don't see where he "comes out of nowhere", when almost half of the arc was about Genthru being recognised as a seasoned warrior. Remember that nen battles are more about wits than nen capacity, at least that's the case up until this point. If the Shadow Beasts weren't arrogant assholes, they'd have killed Uvogin for example. Genthru has shown that he's fully capable of beating nen-users, including Tsezegerra who's a recognised Single-Star hunter, yet wouldn't do so without being prepared in the first place.

The real question is who's more buff. Jonathan Joestar or Bisky?

am I the only one in love with Genthrough character ? I love such villains

The SOS Bros' mention of Joseph's clacker volley made me think of all of the side characters in battle tendency. Is Genthru's color pallet a Jojo's reference? His clothes reminded me of Caesar Zeppeli's white clothes with blue jacket combo. That is aside from the spiky blond hair.
