Well the next episode will present some quite serious stuff which is heavily linked with Tanyas personality. Therefore I would recomend watching this nice Video. Not that I watch this particular anime/reactions but I would've thought it's much more interesting for them to watch the anime as is and make up their own minds about how they feel about a character and their actions/way of thinking.

I'm not sure if I agree with Caleb about Tanya's passivity taking away the tension. I thought it made a good contrast to the fervor that Anson (the dude she just stabbed) had. What Tanya passively disposed of were human beings with families, Tanya operated by cold logic, and after the newbies and the guns were killed, Anson operated on heated hate. I think it's this contrast provided tension and characterization.

There is a reason for the callback of that character from the first episode, which will become evident several episodes from now.

Tanya dislikes people that wastes resources; resources including humans, hence why she hates the Nordic Commander. If you want to see Tanya interact with her first lieutenants you should look up Youjo Shenki, it's a comedy spin-off, but true to their characters. Also low frame rates are intentional, there is a limit to how many frames can be used on tv. I have the Blu-Ray and it isn't as choppy.

PS There is a lot of information missing in the Anime, not really the studios fault. The Light novel it's based on is very long, each book is about as thick as a harry potter book.
