This series is just so entertaining, even though you dont have to think too hard about it

The Kobe Quake is an actual non-story based event that happened in Japan. They are just referencing it in the story, since the world they are in now is supposed to be our world. The author might have added it in as part of a way to sell the Demon Lord and Hero now in our world part of the story, putting something familiar into the story so his readers, people who live/grew up in Japan, could relate better. TLDR Kobe Quake is a real world disaster that they reference, just google it.

I recommend watching Kino's journey one day (2003 or 2017) it's a very interesting show along the lines of monster

Man I am so hot and cold on this show! I was kind of annoyed by a few things in last week's episode, but this one I enjoyed a lot. I think it's just taking me a bit longer to buy into the premise.
