As to be expected, Kurapika used his smarts to resolve the situation. Of course, that means we still need a proper demonstration of his powers (which I can't wait for.) In other news though, mind control is waaaay OP and I'm really glad they kept it as such and instead just made it something that's really difficult to pull off. What did you think of the episode? The chains themselves are nen, he is a conjurer afterall. He cant make an all purpose unbreakable chain but i guess he can make a chain "that dowses". since dowsing is something that was already possible in history of the HXH Universe its possible to make that chain.

I always thought of the Hunter Association like a union. Some sort of far reaching central structure that provides some benefit to satellite groups. These are very neutral organizations, so I'm curious why you think the Hunter Association is "shady". Also, why do you think hunters are killing each other all the time? The fact that they accept anybody who passes the test? Assuming the demographics are similar to real life, Illumi and Hisoka are the outliers rather than the norm. Anyway, just curious. Good discussion guys!

Oh, the post credit scene of episode 40 says that Melody is a Music Hunter too, which ties in with her keen sense of hearing.

I found out a way you could share the facebook video without people needing to be logged in. If you have the video set as public, then you right click on the video, click "show video url", then copy that url link that shows up, then you can share that link without people needing to be logged in. However, patreon early access people would still need to friend you to see the friends only video. Unless, you have two separate facebook accounts, one for early access and one for people on youtube, so non-patrons wont see the early video. (I got this information from techperiod.com, so it should work, at least I hope so.)

They're referring to the scene where Kurapika sees the Scarlet Eyes on the Data card and his eyes have a slight tint, as Haiku Man looks down to see what Kura was looking at. Don't want to say anymore since saying or not saying is potentially spoilers and all.

Despite being slower-paced, I've always liked the 99 version of this arc, it seemed to capture the atmosphere of the arc much better. Even that stupid filler with Dalzollene playing a Chopin song before the attack I found epic. Plus, there's more "Kurapika-splaining". Oh yeah, and please, from now on I'll always call Killua's brother Fat Levi. By the way, I don't know if you guys noticed but the composer is the same from Death Note, there are some themes that have a similar style (not only those epic symphonic songs).

i really cant understand how you cant binge this series. will wait for the real deal moments later on. i was never sad about a series to end like for this one. and later on this series was the one and only medium which made me cry. and that couple of times of 2 episodes in a row. hope this anime will go on which the hiatus end for the manga at january 2019
