Alrighty!! I gotta say, our resident Magus knows how to make an entrance! He's like something out of Phantom of the Opera. Reminds me of that line in Megamind "PRESENTATION!!!" On a serious note though, this looks like it could turn into quite the tender story. Also, the magic in this actually feels...wondrous. Safe to say we're excited to see how this show goes :3 We'll be watching these every Friday until we're caught up! Omfgosh you're watching this show too!? Yaaaay! More to look forward to each week! Though as a note, I watched the OVA episodes first, and it didn't spoil anything for the main series. I'd recommend checking them out. They're just a prequel for the series, so aside from a character we won't meet for a bit, there's nothing in the actual main series you wouldn't encounter in the first episode.

This is easily my favorite anime of the season. The visuals, the music, are both so enchanting and it involves myths and creatures that I adore. Magic is so common in this series but they portray it in such a way that none of the mysticism is robbed from it. It gives me tingles, and I'm definitely just fanboying about it at this point.

Within the manga, the artist actually pays a lot of attention to body language and paneling. It allows an expressionless character like Elias to show emotions.

Was finally able to get home and watch this reaction :) It was great and I loved the discussion as always! Can't wait to see your guys thoughts going forward. As far as the OVAs go, I watched them before watching the main show and I don't feel like I was majorly spoiled on anything. But I did read that a great time to watch them is after episode 8. So if you guys want to watch them, that would be a good time to :D

The OVA takes place after. Its only 3 episodes. But it does more backstory to Chise's childhood.
