It makes me so happy that you guys are loving this show so much! :D

It always feels weird hearing the pronunciation of Tsukishima's name as Tsu-Kishima (how you two annunciate) as opposed to Tsuki-Shima (how I annunciate) lol/ Other than that, I have watched a few sports anime and Haikyuu is the most character driven one I have seen. If you plan to watch any more sports anime, hopefully they don't disappoint after watching such a masterfully crafted show like Haikyuu. :) Great discussion guys.

is there any chance you can do two of these a week ? cause I feel like neither of us can wait XD

Amber Hutchinson

Libero are defensive players in volleyball and they tend to be on the shorter spectrum.

Pleeeeeaseeee do 2 episodes a week, it's so hard to wait!

Yeah Azumane has some issues right now. And oh boy if you thought Kageyama And Hinata's shadow and light or Hinata and Tsukishimas sun and moon were on the nose. Azumane and Nishinoya have opposite heights and personalities Quiet giant, loud dwarf. Their birthdays are inversed, 01/01 vs 10/10. And their names are complete opposites of each other. Azumane Asahi, eastern peak dawn, vs Nishinoya Yuu, western Valley dusk.

Haikyuu's manner of storytelling is so well-executed, the show really makes you wish other anime-adaptations/manga could take notes, ya know? Your discussion did a fantastic job of explaining the themes specific to the conflict in that episode and perfectly relating it to conflicts people face in real life! This is by far my favorite discussion thus far, keep up the amazing work!

Great discussion SOS bros. I see anime story differently after listening to your perspective. Now I get to enjoy the shows in the perspective of storytelling and writing as well. Thanks.

2 episodes of Jojo or 3 episodes of HxH would be better

Oooooh, you guys are going to love Tsukishima and Yamaguichi's development when the time comes. Tsukishima's character arc is actually my favourite in the entire series. He went from annoying to best boy.

Just so you guys know, Liberos have a unique rotation on the court that no one else does so then they stay in the back line. It's kind of like how the setter has a unique rotation so then they're never off the court, while other players like the middle blockers and spikers will always have one rotation where they're benched and will be moving all over the place. Nishinoya really doesn't have to be good at spiking if he's a Libero because his role allows him to be really good at one thing. The author of Haikyuu is amazing at keeping track of how the characters are rotated as the points are scored, and how that changes the team's play style.
