SOS Bros React - My Hero Academia Season 2 Episode 14 - Let The Training Begin!!

Everyone's getting training! Even the villains! I know they're going to be focusing on Deku's training with Gran Torino, but it's really impressive they're setting each of the characters up with mentors that will help them each grow in their own different ways. Not a lot of stories would do that, but this is MHA we're talking about!! We'll be watching these every Friday until we're caught up! Credit goes to the original manga artist for making the designs in the ED, he drew the characters that way for a popularity poll results double page spread

Unfortunately the name+quirk thing is permanent from now on, I was hoping it was a one time refresher too but.... I'd recommend just trying to ignore them, and also ignoring the mid episode flashcards. Relevant quirks will still be displayed normally in the episodes as before

Also Jacob is right, Deku used 5% against Noumu and the shockwave moved water, destroyed glass, and pushed some villains back. Much much stronger than any other 5% usage. This was an animation mistake, in the manga the 5% smash didn't have that insane shockwave, so just ignore the 5% feat from that scene.

A lot of people would love to see a spin-off series of that ending, yeah. I hope we will get a reaction to the new opening! If you haven't already watched it, it should be fine to watch now after this episode. If you have already watched it, please show us! T_T

However I think you two should remember Bakagou and Todoroki wasn't a fair fight, Todoroki was not in the right mind to put up a proper fight so I don't think it's right to compare their fight to who could beat who, we still actually don't know as Todoroki never gave it his all because of he was unstable mentally about his abuse and constantly thinking about his fight with Deku. I think Bukaguo is a much better stragegist than Todoroki and a little better than Deku however power wise I think it's still unknown who would come on top between the three with Deku's power up. As they have never fully been compared against each other enough to work out who would come out on top

I really want to say something about other characters development but I can't because spoilers (cries) but don't worry guys other character development will come but it may take some time though

I agree with Jacob, Bakugo could beat Deku in his current state because Deku takes all his inspiration from Bakugo, since his quirk is like breathing. He has control AND tactical knowledge too! Good reaction guys!

Something to remember: Bakugou gets stronger the longer a fight goes on. He sweats more as he moves around more, so the longer the fight, the more powerful he becomes, the more options he has, the stronger his explosions, etc. So the speed-o-meter analogy applied to Deku, if applied to Bakugou, he STARTS OFF at 5 mph, and then gradually gets faster and faster and faster. His power escalates throughout the fight, while Deku is stuck at a certain limit, because if he goes beyond that he's going to damage that 5 mph ability and render himself slower by breaking stuff. In the fight that Deku and Bakugou had during training, that is exactly what happened. Bakugou started overpowering and out-performing Deku, becoming more maneuverable, more powerful, and faster as the fight went on. And as the fight with Todoroki shows, he has only gotten better since then. I believe Bakugou could beat Deku as they are right now.

One Punch Man season 2 isn't out yet. We don't even know the air date. How would they react to something that isn't even out yet? Or did you just mean "whenever it comes out"? If so, I think it is safe to guess they would. It just doesn't seem like an immediate concern until we know when it's coming out. Year is almost over and they still haven't announced it.

I also agree with Jacob, Deku wouldn't get completely destroyed like he did in the 2v2 but ultimately Bakugou would win. Another thing to remember about Dekus movement abilities is that he needs a wall to actually jump off of. If they were to fight in another tournament which was just a square on the ground he wouldn't be as fast. Caleb is correct though that at the end of season 1 you did hear two different voices over the microphone talking about how strong they (the two voices) had made Nomu. One little detail I liked this episode is that when the animators showed the lights being connected by the white line symbolizing the passing on of One for All, this is the first time that Deku has been included in that. In the 2-3 times that it happened before it always went from the 7th holders purple to All Might's yellow. But now the 9th green light is finally shown! 12:09 is what I'm talking about if you want to see it!

Just to clarify about the whole Toxic Chainsaw thing - when Deku and All Might were having that conversation about his wound back in S1E2, Deku goes 'Was that when you fought Toxic Chainsaw?' All Might responds: 'You're well informed, but a punk like that couldn't beat me.' From the context of the situation it's pretty clear that All Might was telling Deku the truth and that no, Toxic Chainsaw had nothing to do with his injury. So Jacob was right :P

the outro is based off the second popularity poll designs, so the mangaka was the one who came up with the designs. Btw in that poll bakugo overwhelmingly won first place by a landslide, deku was second and todoroki was third. Also, imo bakugou would beat deku in a fight still, he is still stronger even with this deku power up cause its not really giving deku more power its just giving him more control. Also, bakugo has more durability, and is more of a battle genius, and has the most control over his quirk out of anyone in their class. Imo he is the strongest in the class but once again I'm biased toward my favorite character. Also, Bakugo has quite a bit of agility himself and as you could see in the ep izuku is getting his inspiration for his power from bakugo's own use of his quirk.

I'm gonna have to agree with Jacob with the Bakugo analysis, his strategic ability and combat ability tower over Deku.

Although I agree with everyone's reason to support Jacob, I think caleb's opinion of the nerf of the main character is not entirely a setback. Impressed by the analysis.

It was Horikoshi (the mangaka for MHA) who created those designs in the outro. He made them specially to celebrate the second popularity poll results last December, and the anime was paying homage to it. Yes, he is a blessing to this world. xD

Ohh yeah forgot to add, there should be no worries about villains.. Look how D.C and Marvel are still making comics with big fanbase.. longer than any manga or anime thats for sure.. Haha big villains go away/gets wrecked and usually comeback for another beat down or somehow convert to a good guy/for now or indefinitely!! The author is a huge Spider-Man fan.. anyways, what i'm trying to say is.. when writing a story it literally could go on infinitely.. *cough* Captain America passes the shield to Falcon in the comics, *cough* Spider-Man and his re-occurring villains, *cough* multiple universes Love ya'll very much and enjoy!!!!! :)

I don't know anyone personally who watches this show, so I have no one to share my joy at those amazingly fun moments.
