I read this week that on a certain CPS0 game it was possible to select the start level if the test mode DIP switch was set after the game had started. The level was selected by using the price DIP switches. 

So far, I had always set these switches to 1 credit 1 coin. I went back to the core files and added control of the coin slots through the OSD. Then I started Bionic Commando, and could see how for each coin slot setting, the game started at a different level.

I think there are other secrets related to test mode. For instance, in the Japanese version of Ghosts'n Goblins you become invencible if you turn on the test mode.

I have uploaded three games where you can select the start level:

1. Bionic Commando. Now it has correct music too.
2. GunSmoke. It also corrects the flip screen mode, which got broken in the previous release.
3. 1943. With flip screen mode fixed but the top scroll is a bit glitchy on flip mode.

As usual, just use the update script.
