Okay, so I made this a moment ago because I was honestly bored. Pictured here is a map of every state in America color coded by their role in the final McDonald's documentary project. Orange states I have filmed in already (and might revisit some time), yellow states I am almost certain I will film McDonald's* locations in at some point, grey states I am leaving out, black states are non-continental.

This is an ambitious project I know, but it's gotten to the point that I don't want to get this baby out until it's truly captured everything I had in mind going in... And honestly, since you all support me on Patreon I want to make this project as ambitious as possible! I'm not out here spending $50k on Hazbin Hotel fan animations. I'm putting my money into videos!

I am really hoping in the coming months I can start to get some test edits going of what I have so far. I am really digging that under the current planning, every state I visit will touch by the end of this! I want this documentary to be about the American dream, Americana, and the impossible vastness of this country. I want foreign viewers to watch this and come to understand how undefinable America is. And that's why I want to go so ham on covering all these communities. :)

* When I say "film McDonald's" what I really mean is "film places which are either currently McDonald's or were once McDonald's." For instance, in Rhode Island we briefly filmed an abandoned McDonald's and in Missouri I plan to film a Mooseburger restaurant which was once a McDonald's.

Wait a minute there’s a weird McDonald’s in VT? The only thing I ever knew about McD’s regarding our state is that Montpelier is the only state capital without one lol

etoile

which michigan one did you go to??

There are some weird McDonald's, but I don't think we plan on visiting them. We do want to film there to get the "syrup" packets with the unique text

Katie Gough

which MO one do you plan on visiting? I didn't realize any were unique!

Missouri has a theme park called Six Flags St Louis and there used to be a McDonald's there, I want to stop by and get footage of the place
