I'm thinking this will easily surpass iCarly part 1. I mean, we have three seasons left, 13 episodes a season. I think with the intermissions, I at least have three more hours of material in front of me.

Just finished watching that and I’m really looking forward to the rest. Me and my family would always get together to watch iCarly because we all loved it. But not about Victorious, I watched it growing up here and there, but not to the extent of iCarly, do I barely remember anything from it it it was interesting seeing that. I also basically only watched season one so everything after this will be new territory for me. Can’t wait!

Watching you review these shows kinda makes me want to revisit Drake & Josh and see if its still as good as I remember or if it still has those trademark issues that iCarly and Victorious have. Either way great episode, I love the amount of research and dedication you put into your projects!

i have to say, near the end where u start talking about how victorious really weighs down icarly rly put my finger on why i dislike that show so much- but love icarly. i think The Shows Creator really realized the extent of his power at nickelodeon with that show because when people discuss His Actions- it’s usually a clip of victorious yfm?

i loved this and i'll be the first to say i subscribed to ur patreon and started watching ur videos bc of this epic long saga--the quintonreviews icarly universe reviews universe if u will---but i really hope that u truly hating the process of making these is mostly like a bit and u are enjoying urself somewhat LOL just because otherwise i'll feel bad if u feel obligated to do them forever so i hope the garfield and homestuck projects are more... palatable lol? I tend to think of iParty with Victorious as a bad iCarly episode paired with a good Victorious episode. Like you said, nothing about the way iCarly and Seattle are portrayed in the episode feels right, but the Victorious characters get into all these wacky scenarios in this giant home that has a very Victorious-LA vibe. Maybe Victorious, having a bigger recurring cast and having all these inappropriate jokes and stuff, attracts more of a desire for fanfiction and transformation. So an iCarly episode that feels like a fanfic feels boring and low effort, while a Victorious one just feels like what the fans want.

that was great Quinton, looking forward to the next part. I recently binged through both neds declassified school survival guide and drake and josh, not inspired by you of course. Alot of the f'd up statutory shit from victorious can be found in drake and josh and the show as a whole really didnt age well. Neds declassified aged far better and i would honestly like to see your opinion on it in a future video maybe

I think why I like every main character in Victorious except Tori (and Rex for, eh, other reasons), is because they're trying to frame her as a good person when she's clearly not. That's why I do love Jade, because yes she's mean, but she's also framed as "the baddie". Julia Cudney makes a similar point about Blair Waldorf in her Gossip Girl video. Like, I like flawed characters if the writers are actually aware of their flaws. But the writers seem to be under the impression that Tori is the most likeable person ever? (Also, nice Twin Peaks reference)

I’m really enjoying these videos despite being a bit too old to be into iC or V. Regardless, your analysis technique is so charming and enjoyable to watch, my interest is still constantly piqued. I happily sat through all 6+ hours of iCarly and Victorious breakdowns despite never haven seen a single episode of either of these shows because you are damn good at breaking down story technique and theory while simultaneously making jokes at the dumb stuff. I know you have a whole lineup of new projects after this is done, so consider this a completely hypothetical question. I don’t really expect you to do this, but do you think you would be able to make a detailed and deep analytical critique of a show or shows that you DIDN’T grow up with? What came to my mind was the old Norman Lear shows from the 70s and 80s. He had a similar run of incredibly popular spin off shows one after another. All in the Family spun off to Maude, which spun off to Good Times. I know you don’t have time to dive into old boomer shows, but I’m just wondering, if I enjoy your analysis despite not watching iCarly, do you think your audience would enjoy your reviews even if they never watched the original source material? I’m thinking sometime next year, Quinton Reviews the entire run of… Alf!

Finally joined your Patreon for this video, and I'm enjoying it so far. But thought it was worth brining up that at 23min, you criticize Tori being told by her teacher to act as a dog in an improv scene as an unnatural situation. As an improv performer myself, that's actually one of the first things I was taught: no negation. If someone in a scene introduces you as a dog, you're a dog now. Negating that derails the scene. You can be a talking dog ("Yes, and..."), but you have to work with what you're given. The teacher is just enforcing that very important lesson. Of course, Jade is absolutely using this as an excuse to bully Tori, and the teacher should intervene before it "gets real," and DEFINITELY should have stopped these children from making out in class, but hey, sitcom.

Thanks for all of these videos. Just hit play on this one so no comment on the quality, but this seems like a lot for one person to do, even with hired editors and such. We don't mind if the videos are late, make sure you sleep sometimes.

I think he just meant that the scene plays out like it's a writer's fetish. I do wish the improv in the show felt more... natural? Like the characters got something out of it. I can think of a couple times where characters use improv as an excuse to assault other characters and if you can't deny that bit, you can at least play along with it in a way that gets you some payback. Basically I'm saying Tori should have bitten Jade's leg. Which doesn't help the fetish problem.

I spent a lot of time watching wondering why you where so ambivalent about beck as a character until it hit me that I watched this as an adolescent girl and never removed that frame in my mind. Pretty eye opening to see that at least HALF of his character jokes are about adult women hitting on him. Just one aspect of a miriad of bad writing…

i'm in my first semester of art school and this series has been getting me through long ass animation sessions my man. i obsessed with fred and icarly growing up and have a similar experience of fond nostalgia when looking at the backlog. however, victorious came out when i was 13 and it was decidedly the show to make fun of, so i was hoping you would do a deep dive on it!! so excited for the rest of the series dude, sending you much positivity in all future nightmare editing sessions
