107 - Sketch of the Month 2 - Half-Life1 Assassin (winner 2) [with lotsa alts!] (Patreon)

The second winner of the Second Sketch of the Month poll is the Assassin from Half-Life 1. She shares her spot with the Plague Doctor at the top, both received 3-3 votes from the voting sinners. 🏆

This project was a bit tricky, I didn't know what I wanted to do with this character. I've changed my mind like 3 times before settling with this. Then the actual pose sketching was a bit difficult too, cuz how the body's shapes change in such position and angle.. Definitely something unusual for me to draw. I thought there would be plenty of helpful references for this tbh, but there wasn't... well, not through google images.. xd I mostly used 2 irl pictures of 2 women doing a similar pose like this in fitness gear (altho they weren't that busty at all).
Then I had to figure out what I see on that texture of this old model. I kinda saw different shades of dark colours here and there, then from another angle it's not there? Anyways I mostly saw that her googles and limbs have the same darker colour on the model, so I coloured it darker at that parts aswell, this way my sketch is more identible imo instead of being a mess you can't recognise. Also, if I understood right, those red lenses are positioned off/not centered or placed where the eyes are, so I tried to do that too without making it look silly.

- I was also checking a fanart of the character in hopes I could see more details that I didn't notice from the original small screenshots of the pure black model.
- I didn't give a belt over her chest for obvious reasons. I also didn't really bother with the hands... freakin hands are so hard to draw...  ̶I̶ ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶n̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶I̶ ̶c̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶t̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶a̶c̶c̶u̶s̶e̶d̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶m̶a̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶i̶ ̶s̶t̶u̶f̶f̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶h̶o̶w̶ ̶d̶e̶r̶p̶y̶ ̶I̶ ̶d̶r̶a̶w̶ ̶h̶a̶n̶d̶s̶ ̶l̶o̶l̶ 💦
- As I noticed, the character has a line in the middle of her forehead, I continued to draw that line onto the whole head. Later I noticed it's not there under the goggles? But I kinda liked it that way, so I just made it transparent.
- I also tried to make some latex-like shading on her limbs and breasts. Idk if I achieved it or not, but I guess it looks okay.
- Originally I didn't want to add a belt onto her hips, cuz it would hide some part of the figure, but did it anyway.. so there's an alternative without it too.

After drawing those "Among us drip" characters, this kinda felt like drawing em again tbh xd While trying to draw her goggles, that is.

Speaking of "Alternative", this long list of alts is not that different from each other, but just in small details;
- Basically I've made 2 kind of backgrounds, one with gradient colouring and the other with one simple colour.
- Then I gave the character outlines with the colours either white or blue.
- There are also variants of her wearing that belt on her hips with the grenade on, or no belt at all.
- And there's a variant which was inspired by a fanart I saw of her, where she has a kind of "boob window" instead of a straight line in the middle. As far as I noticed the latter is the accurate version, but I kinda like em both.
- And lastly for some plus alternatives: 2 at the very end. I tried out photoshop's auto effects once again which gave some nice pictures in my opinon. Naturally, I didn't want to go over all the variants so just selected a few. Also, interestingly, these effects made significant results on the variant with the plain coloured background only, the gradient version didn't get much different outcomes.

Oh yea, her saying is kinda a reference of some original animations for her model. Funny how they already made that possible that long ago, to make her tits bounce around... Altho she moves so quickly.. guess that was just the devs fooling around with her model, trying out things and such ha (idk if it's in the game, I haven't played it).
Anyways I hope her text is understandable and not something that's weird a bit... or maybe only people who know about this character or know the "jiggle bones" thing can understand it...? I was thinking if I should word it differently then I asked a guy who's in the 3D business and said it's okay, but I'm still unsure about it a bit..

Gosh.. I gonna need to chose from these when I'm gonna publish it... fak. xd at least 1 or 2.... or 4?💦 I dun wanna post it repeatedly that much aaa xd
Heh, maybe I'll go with the photoshop effected ones.. hmm.. 🤔

Hope it came out good! (Almost worked on it so much it would be like a fleshed out art instead of a sketch, ha.)
