73 - 0 - sketch comic (inspired by a comment) (Patreon)

Originally I wanted to do this at first in ClipStudio Paint, but since I was also chatting while doing so, the previous sketches were born. But I didn't want to ditch this idea or forgot about it, so this time I've done it. I also tried out how's like to colour in this program.

I prefer drawing in PaintTool SAI, still. xd
It's much more faster and smoother for me. I need to click less even while trying to edit a selection, I don't need to use hotkeys for distortions and changing colours is way faster aswell.
I haven't really figured out how the comic features work here (the tutorial I was looking at wasn't really getting on point either >:v). I think this program would be more useful for black n white drawings. I might try how's it like doing a lineart here, then colouring the drawing in SAI.

ABOUT THE SKETCH COMIC:

Back in the tumblr days, I've kept getting really good comments and messages, some even inspired me to draw something related to it (the reason why I've drawn so much SpiderGwen×Venom was an anon ask back in the day. I received at least 2 messages asking for more, after my first drawing of em). This kind of inspirational magic happened on twitter too via a comment I got for my prelude comic.
After reading it, I immediately thought "Carnage would def do that xd". I imagine my version of him as a troll kind of funny guy.

So this time I really could give him the hawaiian shirt like I wanted to, based of the leaked photos from the shooting of the 2nd movie AND also give him the cocktail. xd
I kept the workflow simple, I was aiming for a sketchy style more than a more pro look. I was also just experiencing how the program works.
Overall I used the same brush like I did before, even for colouring. The brush I used for the background in the first 2 panels is kinda similar to the brush I usually use, but I think it's more suitable for watercolouring. I gotta try that out once too. 👀

I used references for Carnage (1 sfm pic of Zer0 from borderlands2), for the pigeon and the light bulb (both pics from google). Also checked out that hawaiian shirt, of course, so the pattern is kinda similar.

I'm not sure if the final look of the comic's gonna look like this, I should be sleeping right now and all, just wanted to share this fast. xd
I'll update this post later with the separated panel pics. 

Also; at first that pigeon was looking like that in the 2nd picture of the post. The sunglasses just made it look cooler and really "photogenic".. pff xd
Lemme just note that; I really like how that window part turned out in all together. The window, the plant, the bird and it's pattern, the clouds in the sky at the bg. I like the colours there. c:

I drew this complitely in ClipStudio Paint. Re-sized it in photoshop, adjusted the panels into their places and added the year and signatures.
