Hey everyone,

I took two freelance gigs recently so Ill need to pause for another month. Hopefully one of them Ill be able to share sometime when it releases. You will not be charged March 1st and I will be posting any personal stuff with step images here during the month.

I've always wondered how it works for artists already working for a studio to take side jobs like that. Do you need your main employer to agree or are you totally free ?

Im in a "keiyaku shain"(contract worker) position, so it is okay. Usually "sei shain"(perma worker) cannot work elsewhere. Im not sure how it works in the states, but for a person working as a sei shain, if they try to work outside their company, they usually have to hide or choose a different pen name when working outside the company. Me personally, I like having some level of freedom so Ive stayed in the keiyaku shain position since I started working in the illust/game/animation industry in Japan. But depending on the company, perks can vary. I can really only speak about the two companies Ive worked mainly for at this point.
