I took a look at the official artwork for Female Monk from Final Fantasy Tactics and I can only say: Square-Enix is really bad at hiring 2D artists/character designers. Their 3D division/modelers are good. This Female Monk has turned into one of the most adorable characters I've seen, under Rejean's hands. Japanese companies should hire u, not those 3rd rate artists. Although I guess being hired by those large companies also means u lose a lot of your creative freedom. That's why I stay away from them. At the end of the day, doing what u love, the way u want to is the most important thing.

Im very flattered but I gotta defend Akihiko Yoshida, as I love his works. Say what you will about his works in the 90s, but his work has gotten so much better over the years. Dude is a beast in my eyes. For now, working for an animation studio and doing Patreon, I already have enough on my plate. If I were hired to do something for Square, I would definitely want take it!
