For these studies I looked at the reference while drawing as usual, then I would draw it again without looking at the reference and what I just drew. I would then check, make corrections then draw again from memory.  Normally, I would just draw a pose once and move on. But I started to think that maybe only drawing once would go into my short term memory. Trying this method out to see if its more beneficial.
