I apologize for the lack of updates this month. With Jump Tanks taking up most of my time outside of work, Ive also come in close to my Bakumatsu Engi deadline which is in three days. Still have 4 out of 6 characters to finish!

The above work is from July of this year for the Bakumatsu card game. The person he is based off of is Ichimura Tetsunosuke who was a member of the Shinsengumi. This is the second time I had illustrated him, the first time he was wearing the usual Shinsengumi haori with the white triangles but this time they wanted me to illustrate him in a yukata. Yukata is usually worn during summer which was when the character was done. 

A  little about the process. 

Since there are three versions of every character, I paint the clothing in grayscale and everything else in colour. I generally use layer blending mode Overlay for the colour of the clothing, then Ill change the colour of that layer for the evolution of the character. The clothing design patterns are taken from a material book that we use at the company. 

Ive been dying to draw and record more stuff for you guys. In the next month, Ill try to send anybody who supported this month early rewards of any works I do in January.
