"This character comes from a world where magic is still real but is something that must be protected from the every day citizen.

Kanami Yano (光波 柳野) was born second into a long family line of magically talented Shinto believers, with a particular focus on the Sun Goddess Amaterasu and those surrounding her myths.
As the second-born, Kanami was raised to be the more physical counterpart to her older sister and trained most of her young life to master swordsmanship, dance and served as a shrine maiden in her parent's temple.
Sheltered and constantly hounded for training or magical theory Kanami fell into a state of depression and almost resigned herself to forever staying in the confines of her family's home.
Until one day she broke free and left, never to return."
