Some sketches planning out the magical girl wand for Chablis/Starry Knight. I had a good visual of it in my head, but needed to really draw it out to get a more solid feel for it. I wanted to do a 3D model of it, but I just don't have time. Maybe at a later date when I have more time. Instead I did a sloppy lumpy 10 minutes 3D sculpt of it for a quick reference.

The idea behind her having a hilt is that she can channel her powers into whatever wand, weapon or tool she needs. This seems like a really OP power, but a big theme of the comic is that she has a very short amount of time to master her MG powers, which are supposed to involve years of training, so having such endless possibilities mean learning how to be effective is very hard. So she has to initially limit herself to some basic forms to master, and slowly get more creative.

The weird stay-shaped gem or bauble thing doesn't have a default color. It's iridescent or opalescent when inactive and changes colors depending on what power is being channeled - purples for sheild, blues for strength/gauntlets/etc, pinks/reds for swords and such, and greens for healing. These are also the colors and powers of each of her team mates (more on them in a later post)
