Executive Stream

Diane suddenly shoots to her feet with her eyes opened as wide as possible as she shouts, “What the fuck!”

She then messes with her menus as Wolf gets back to his feet while releasing all of his built up ice element and downing a stamina potion just in case.

Several seconds later, Leo appears in a bright red flash of light within the viewing room area with an annoyed look on his face as he says, “What is it? Why did you say that there was an emergency?”

Diane glares at him, surprising him for a second, before she points at the screen as the werewolf breaks through the trees into the clearing while swiping its claws again, sending five arcs of dark element straight at Crystal this time.

Leo calmly turns to the screen before his jaw drops open in shock.

“The event boss is a damn primal werewolf?!” he shouts out loud.

Wolf

“How the hell are we supposed to kill something over 60 freaking levels above us!” I shout as I use my ice to counter the five black arcs as they travel towards Crystal before generating several daggers of ice and launching them at the event boss.

“How am I supposed to know?!” Crystal shouts back as the werewolf turns its attention towards me and literally just swats my daggers away, shattering them all into shards of ice.

Okay, now that’s just unfair!

The werewolf roars in anger before going down on all fours and breaking off into a sprint towards me.

I repeatedly swear as I force all of the ice element around me to begin freezing the ground near me before building several walls of ice in between the werewolf and me, only for it to crack the ice on the ground as it steps on it while breaking straight through the walls.

“What the fuck is this thing?! A damn tank?!” I shout in complaint before creating a slide and a sled and sliding straight down it at an incredibly fast speed before jumping off and turning around to find the werewolf crashing through the last wall and landing where I was before I got on the little ice sled.

It then turns to me and roars again, only to have an arrow strike it in the shoulder.

My jaw drops open as I see the arrow only leave a faint scratch mark on the monster, with very little blood dripping out of it as the arrow just falls to the ground without even getting stuck inside of it.

“Are you kidding me?!” I hear Crystal shout from her place on the other side of the clearing before hearing her nocking another arrow as I attempt to use my trick.

I quickly manipulate the ice element near the werewolf to turn into a raging blizzard before forming several small shards of ice within the blizzard in the hopes that it will tear it apart.

Nothing happens for several seconds as I sense the werewolf standing in place without moving before another loud roar echoes through the clearing and ten black arcs fly out of the blizzard, causing a split in the blizzard itself as the arcs knock the snow and ice within the blizzard straight out to land on the ground around it.

I try to dodge the arcs, but still get cut by two of them on my right arm as they both cut straight through the ice above the forearm armament.

“Shit,” I grunt as I feel blood begin to flow down my arm before I refocus my attention on the werewolf to see it covered in dozens of tiny cuts from my ice shards as another arrow strikes it in the gut this time. Except this arrow – unlike the last one – explodes on impact, knocking the werewolf back a few meters.

“Seriously? It didn’t even knock it off of its feet?” I hear Crystal complain from the other side of the clearing. “Well, if that’s the case…”

I glance back at her before focusing on the werewolf again.

Whatever she is planning, I hope it-

My thoughts are interrupted as I see a wave of what looks like miasma suddenly come from Crystal’s location straight towards the werewolf, enveloping it as it begins growling.

Surprisingly, the miasma doesn’t seem to do much to the undamaged areas on the werewolf. As for the open cuts on the werewolf? Those all begin to sizzle a little bit as the miasma directly begins lightly dissolving the werewolf’s blood as it continues growling out of annoyance.

Well, that’s working, but not all that well.

Although…

The werewolf suddenly breaks off into a sprint straight towards Crystal, who lowers her hand with a muttered curse and raises her bow to shoot it.

…it also attracted its attention to her!

“Don’t let the thing bite you!” I shout at her as I create a large amount of ice element before forming it into several large spears that I toss straight at the werewolf mid-charge.

If I had known that the stupid event boss would be a werewolf, I would have tried to search through the store for werewolf venom antidotes! What’s even worse is that I am not even sure if there are any werewolf venom antidotes, because unlike zombies, werewolves are not a very common species!

“No shit!” she shouts back as she releases an arrow straight at its face.

The werewolf just swipes the arrow away with one of its arms as the miasma coating it finally fades away, leaving it appearing like a bloody mess at a glance. Despite that, most of its wounds only look superficial and light, with none of them actually being major wounds.

I sigh in relief as the large ice spears strike the werewolf in the back, causing it to stagger forwards as the ice spears all fall out of its back on their own before landing on the ground.

Thank goodness the primal werewolves are stupid and almost completely instinctual.

The event boss growls even louder than before while turning around to face me.

“If we keep this up, we might actually be able to eventually take the thing down!” I shout at Crystal who nods her head as the werewolf charges in my direction again.

Arcadian Live

“Holy shit! They are actually doing it! They are fighting back the werewolf!” Mikaela shouts with overflowing excitement as the constant roar from the audience threatens to drown him out.

Both Katherine and Niklai stand to the side with Mikaela as they all watch the main screen with bated breaths.

“When was the last time you saw a werewolf in the Administrator Dungeon?” Katherine asks Niklai as Wolf and Crystal continue their strategy of alternating between which one of them holds its attention.

Niklai continues watching their strategy play out for several seconds before he slowly says, “I think it was a few Administrator Dungeon Runs ago, where one of the one hundredth floors had a werewolf as a centurion boss.”

He then turns to her and adds, “Although it was before you became a commentator for this show.”

Mikaela winces as Wolf gets struck with another wave of dark element arcs from the werewolf’s claws.

“This battle is really messed up when you look at how it’s going,” he says while Wolf quickly heals his wounds and downs another stamina potion. “The Winter Wolf can’t go into close combat unless he wants to chance getting bitten, for which there is no cure outside of asking a full-blooded werewolf to give them an antidote made from their own venom, so he is stuck using only his ice magic to weaken the werewolf. Which isn’t a very effective method of dealing with a primal werewolf when the moon is out, considering their extra magic resistance from the direct moonlight.”

Wolf releases another wave of ice element towards the werewolf as he repeats his blizzard attack.

“And it’s another of The Winter Wolf’s famous blizzard and ice shard combo attacks!” Mikaela declares as cheers resound amongst the loud audience before Mikaela’s face suddenly turns surprised as he sees something in the corner of the main screen, a few dozen meters away from the battle.

‘This won’t turn out well,’ Mikaela thinks to himself as he continues watching the fight.

Wolf
Ten minutes later

I pant in exhaustion as I down my last stamina potion before shouting to Crystal, “I’m all out of stamina potions! How about you?”

“Same here!” she says as she fires another arrow at the werewolf, “the one I used earlier was my last potion!”

Seriously? Wow. This stupid event boss has cost me over ten stamina potions!

I focus my attention on the werewolf as it charges towards Crystal at a much slower pace than before, with wounds covering its body from head to toe. It also has practically become bald at this point, with most of its fur having been ripped, burnt, cut, shredded, or frozen off by now. What’s more is that the bright red light that was shining in its eyes earlier is now just a faint red glow, whereas its claws all have little chips broken off of them here and there.

That said, Crystal isn’t in the greatest of shapes either. A large portion of her light leather armor that she was wearing has been torn to ribbons as blood stains cover most of her clothes. If it wasn’t for the health potions that she had in her inventory, she would likely have died just from blood loss by now.

As for me? I am actually doing fine, but that won’t last for long considering the fact that that was my last stamina potion. If it wasn’t for me consistently healing myself and repairing my armor with my ice element, I would likely be dead by now.

I grimace at our current situation before coming to a decision.

“Crystal!” I shout at her as I send a few large spears of ice at the werewolf, “I have a plan!”
