One the Frozen Planet known by the nations of the Universe as Cocytus

The Winter God, Cocytus, sits on his throne while tapping a single finger on the armrest. His eyes closed as he finally feels his domain withdrawing from the world of which the hybrid was on ever since his awakening. The strange being supposedly meant to replace him. To bring his downfall.

But even with that knowledge, the Winter God doesn’t move from his throne. Even as he feels the Collapse within him urging him to destroy the threat.

All that manages to do is force him to order one of his own bodyguards to leave and find the hybrid.

He makes no moves to do so himself.

Because Cocytus desires not to kill the hybrid.

But he does desire to kill him as well.

A common problem that occurs when two powerful wills clash in a single body.

Then a flash of heat energy arrives right within his throne room, making the dozen bodyguards all around the throne and across the hall tense up. Each of the humanoid creatures looking nearly the exact same, with spikes shooting out of their upper back and the backs of their heads, along with a T-shaped trail of glowing blue light shining from their chest as they growl out through their rows of razor sharp teeth at the uninvited guest.

A guest that takes the form of the Sun God as she appears within the center of the chamber and completely disregards the Winter God’s bodyguards while focusing on him and speaking, “You’ve seen it yourself, Cocytus.”

Cocytus taps his finger on his throne again, not saying anything for several seconds.

Then he finally says, “Yes. A threat he may become. But that’s only if the creature can survive.”

The Sun God grins at him, crossing her arms under her chest as she retorts, “And survive he will.”

All of the bodyguards in the throne room begin to growl in anger at the Sun God. None of them pleased at her defiance of their God.

A simple reaction built directly into the genetic codes and cold energy of every single frozen one in existence.

Except for those under the protection of the hybrid, as Cocytus surprisingly found out.

As if the hybrid was directly declaring war on Cocytus’s domain.

The domain of Winter.

Yet also, the domain of Collapse.

“It’s not just your domains, Cocytus,” Sol says, sounding amused and interested. “Keep that in mind, old friend.”

Cocytus freezes when he’s about to tap his finger, only for Sol to suddenly vanish in another burst of light. Angering his bodyguards once again. Bodyguards who are all above the warm one’s interesting power designation system’s Tier 5.

Not just our domains…

The Winter God narrows his eyes for a few seconds before closing them and focusing on the hybrid once more. His Winter side feeling more hope than before.

Because if there is a creature in the universe who can free him for good, it would be the one that manages to have some hold over all three of the remaining domains.

Then he turns his gaze onto a single planet within the universe. One located far away from the planet the hybrid was on.

A planet that is entirely consistent of nothing but oceans.

And a single, strange orb of energy at the center of it.

Better yet, a being who may control all four domains.

Cocytus’s lucid thoughts are interrupted by his inner growling from Collapse’s side of his self. Covering up his thoughts and making it harder to act as he pleases once more.

But he still manages to hold back from acting personally, even if planning quickly becomes difficult.

And soon enough he feels his consciousness focusing solely on expanding the Eternal Winter – as the warm ones call it – once more.

Growing faintly excited for what is to come.
