Don't mind this fluff. It's so that free readers can't read half the chapter.

Fenrir

It takes just a few days of mercenaries and soldiers entering my dungeon, but my EXP Level finally reaches level 20. And as soon as it does, the usual ascension process begins, eventually ending off with the expected notification appearing before me.

Then, just like when I reached Tier 2, cracks begin to form all around my core. Cracks that eventually shatter at once, leading to my core expanding in size a little.

But it doesn’t end there as I immediately feel my senses beginning to expand beyond my own dungeon. Something that’s never happened before.

Nice! I’ve been looking forward to this little benefit for a while now!

The ability to see outside of the bounds of your own dungeon.

Now I can finally see the entire city and not just what’s in my ‘dungeon’. Which’ll help me keep tabs on everything and everyone.

Without having to leave my dungeon in my avatar.

Come to think of it, anyone who isn’t me would end up without any way to keep tabs on the outside until Tier 3. Since I got my avatar early compared to other Dungeon Cores.

Interesting to think about but doesn’t really matter.

Anyways, I once again release the Dragon Core’s energy. Making it fill me up inside of my core in an instant. To the point that it’s almost uncomfortable.

I wonder if this is how those guests feel when they’re full from eating?

In seconds, my Cultivation Level immediately skyrockets. From level twenty to twenty-one. Then twenty-one to twenty-two. And twenty-two to twenty-three. All the way till it reaches the peak of Tier 3 and stops again with some energy still left inside of it.

I nod my avatar’s head, feeling pleased with this development. Then I focus on the entrance where a certain Fallen Prince is waiting for me next to a pile of gifts. Mostly orbs.

Honestly, I don’t know how to respond to this guy. I know the Vampires are watching him very closely every time he arrives, so I’m not really in any danger. Especially since the reason they declared war was to get open access to what I can offer them. Not to kill me. But I still feel awkward. Since I’m never going to renege on my deal with Leon, so all of the gifts he’s been giving me on a daily basis are pointless.

The Vampire Demigod just told me to take them and use them, ignoring him in the process though. Which is rather brutal, but he’s the one dumping it all on me. And a lot of it is also stuff no one else in Midgard can really use. Since there are a lot of void orbs included in the gifts.

And only I can use void orbs. Or other void creatures, but there are pretty much almost no void creatures in Midgard. Just a few at most.

Excluding my dungeon, that is.

There are plenty here after all.

Portals into the void aren’t natural. So without one, no one can enter or leave the void. And only the strongest of void creatures can make a portal to the void.

Unfortunately for them, most void creatures aren’t exactly intelligent unless created that way by a dungeon like me. So most won’t know to enter Midgard, nor would they want to. What with there being far less void energy in Midgard than in the void.

It’s like leaving an oasis in a desert for the dry sands and dunes. An analogy that Dawn taught me a while back.

Only understood it myself thanks to getting the biome for deserts not too long ago.

I watch the Fallen Prince stand there and bow a few times before he starts his usual spiel. Mostly talking about all the benefits he could grant me from letting him take over the land here. Stuff like a lot more people coming and going from my dungeon, better protection, regular gifts, and so on. Most of which is stuff I already get, since I doubt they’ll be able to defend me better than the Vampires already do. And I have enough people coming and going from my dungeon as it is.

Also have a lot of deals set up for void orbs, so I’m not really short on those either.

So after finishing his little spiel, he waits for several seconds before sighing, bowing once more, and leaving. Not saying another word in the process.

I have to admit though, he does have at least some understanding of negotiations. It’s almost like he knows exactly when he’s starting to get on my nerves and leaves at that very moment. With even more gifts appearing in the process to appease me.

The guy won’t give up when it comes to trying to bribe me over to his side. Even when I flat out told him that I wouldn’t be going back on the deal I made with the leader of Wolfmoore, Leon, and his father.

All he said to that was ‘everyone has their price’ before leaving.

Certainly a stubborn man.

I tilt my avatars head slightly as I wonder just what it is they want. I know they want the benefit my items and stuff can give them, but is one Dungeon Core really worth all of this? Even for a void dungeon?

It’s a little hard to swallow.

Especially when I think about their backer. That Tier 10 God that pretty much owns their nation.

At the end of the day though, it’s free items for me. Free gifts, orbs, and new patterns to learn. Both monster-wise and item-wise. And enchantments too.

Lots of freebies.

And who doesn’t like freebies?

Freebies are nice.

Anyways, I turn my attention away from the entrance of my dungeon to instead focus solely on the stairs to the next floors.

Next plan of action is to make a bunch of floors.

And I mean a bunch of them.

There are a lot to make, so I might be here a while.

I give a wry smile on my avatar’s face before getting to it.

This may not update as much as your other works but it is still one of my favorites of all the books I've read, as it checks off so many things that I enjoy; a neutral MC growing in power not necessarily Good or Evil, a unique element that only the MC has or is very rare, Non-Human & Monster/Dungeon Protagonists, and Monster evolution. All this in one series gives me a runner's high equivalent for readers. Thank you for writing such great books that I can immerse myself in.🫡
