This ties in a lot with my rejection-sensitive tendencies, and wanted to share it because it affects a lot in our daily lives!

What’s something you often take too personally even though logically, you know better? How has this habit affected your life?

Even when it seems personal, rarely do people do things because of you—they do things because of them. You may not be able to control all the things people say and do to you (or about you), but you CAN decide not to be reduced by them.

It's like looking in a mirror! I take most things personally and have to 'talk myself down' constantly, slowly re-training myself. ADHD medication has helped with this as well as an awareness of my over-sensitivity. You are bang on though - peoples responses/behaviour are mostly just a reflection of those people. I have a list of favourite catchphrases I run through my head when I feel myself overreacting eg. 'Be more Spock', 'That's almost certainly not what they mean!', and 'You just need to give less of a f*@k what people think'. All of these help. Thanks for posting.
