Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey Sketches (Patreon)

I went to see Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey or was it Birds of Prey and the Fatabulous Emancipation of one Fat Slob Harley Quinn which we all know should have been the real title. Go big or go home!

I really liked Margot Robbie’s portrayal of the character but apart from that I wasn’t too entertained other than taking notes on how the film would have worked better if .... SPOILER WARNING!

If Harley had gained weight as we see her only goal in the film is to eat an egg, bacon grilled sandwich and other foods. We see her shopping for food, drinking insane amounts of alcohol, partying and being either a total slob or messy debaucherous hoe most of the time.

A far cry from the sexy confident male gaze version from Suicide Squad. So I asked myself, why didnt they go all in and have Margot actually gain weight for the roll and be a BBW Harley. It definitely would have helped the film in my opinion and I bet all us FA’s would have gone out to see it.

So I developed these 3 sketches today for fun to go along with my notes. What you all think? Which of the sketches encapsulates her morbid obesity, gluttony, and comfort seeking food as she is now single and how it effects her.
