Art giveaway (Patreon)

You were asking me to not withdraw from the art giveaway -  I see two ways I could incorporate both fanart friday I am very excited about and still have the art giveaway and maybe make more people happy <3

1: changing the limit on archdemon tier to 6 people,
and giving the art reward to one person from this tier
(two rewards if all slots are filled)
+ access to painterly commissions that otherwise are not available

2: creating new tier, 85 USD
and giving one person a reward there
(with more people on this tier I will add another reward as well)

+ access to painterly commissions as well

I like the archdemon idea; anything that will get you closer to working on your comic, because I think that would be really fun!

In my case I'm really torn, because I'm strapped for Patreon cash and I was holding to the current Hellhound tier because of the potential giveaway :/ All the options sound fair, but I couldn't realistically upgrade to any of them :( That said, I fully support you increasing your prices if that's what you need to do to maintain your output! You're amazing and deserve it! :D

I don't like the idea of moving painterly to limited tiers. Means that unless you are the lucky few to get these tiers you'll never be able to get one. Essentially it just becomes a premium on top of the already quite high price of that style.

I am sorry to hear that, and on the other hand I am glad I managed to do the art reward for you once in the past &lt;3 Please notice, that it was impossible for me to do the reward for everyone who supported me on this tier, even if I hold this tier forewer and it was actually the most stressing part. I am not build strong enough to do such choices every month, even if you guys encouraged me to do it! I can do one fanart friday a patron character, but that will be another goal

when you say it like that I have to agree, this should not be limited like that :) While I want to do more soft shading pieces I may add the 'painterely style' starting from 25+ tier, this one is not limited

Paying $85 or $115 a month for a chance (but no guarantee) of an art reward is not something I would be comfortable doing, but I also see why the previous arrangement wasn't working for you. I am always happy to pay a fair amount for commissions, and would prefer to see you expand the "granted commission slot" reward to more patrons. (Either open up the $35 tier, or make a new higher tier that has this reward).

I see! I would like to open a few more slots to this tier actually, I am only afraid to made too much and to crowd my list too much so it become annoying for you guys to wait for your granted artworks. I want to keep the balance of this all :)

oh, somehow I have not seen this comment. Thanks so much Valinye! I'd love to work on the comic, but with new tiers fanart friday and the raffle I will have to prostpone this goal a bit in time. But I want to do a few pages just on my own to see how much time one page takes me!

There is a simple fix for that... if your waitlist ever gets too long, increase your commission prices. 😎 (Totally serious about that. If there is more demand for your commissions than you have time to supply, it's completely fair to raise your prices, and you deserve it)

If we were to have one Fanart Friday be a Patreon's character, how would that be done? I guess we could have a sign up of some sort and then patrons get to vote on others' characters they'd like to see drawn? That way, you wouldn't have to make the decision yourself in the same way. That's my idea.
