Overgrown Abandoned Chapel [24x40] (Patreon)

This place has been abandoned for decades now, with very little of the original decor still remaining. The Nature is steadily reclaiming this building, with overgrown bushes and shrubs taking the place of old paintings and sculptures. 

The only thing that seems to have remained untouched is the altar, dedicated to some long-forgotten deity.  Their likeness stares at you, reflected by the sunlight coming from the shattered stained glass windows. For some reason you feel calm here. Almost... safe. 

Even the heavy smell of decay and wet soil on the air can't take away the undisputed holiness of this chapel. If it wasn't for the disturbing rumors you've heard circulating about, you'd pick it as a good spot for a rest.
