Elden Ring: Farewell, Traitor (Patreon)

Spoilers for Mt. Gelmir & Volcano Manor follow! (c/ injuries)

A little piece of backstory for Cohle, my Tarnished! I adored the Mt. Gelmir story as it unfolded piece by horrible piece. 

After the Elden Ring was shattered, Cohle was an inquisitor serving Praetor Rykard. He fought against the Erdtree forces and the Greater Will, but when he discovered Rykard's serpentine blasphemy, he tried to warn the rest of the inquisitors. Intending to feed him to the serpent god, Rykard only managed to take his tongue before Cohle escapes into a foreign land. 

He's scooped up by the Fingers and Maidens, and 'converted' back to the faith. It's a lie, of course, and Cohle returns to the Lands Between as a Tarnished pretending to serve the Erdtree until the first opportunity arises to strike against it again.
