Penumbra: Knights of the Silver Ark (Patreon)

A bit of musing on armour for the knights of the Silver Ark as they used to be. A very cursory attempt to include specific shapes on their silvery armour, specifically Normal-style arches that can be found in churches across northern Europe. 

My thought was to include some church-like imagery, particularly the majesty of cathedral arches, for a culture that is not explicitly religious. Their doctrine places highest importance on magical knowledge and conserving it, so the focal point of Ark armour is the mantle they sport around their shoulders. 

This mantle is a place to display medals, commendations and achievements the knight has accrued, and it's a visual element I want to be preserved through the magical calamity that destroys their nation and twists their knights-- the shapes can still be seen in the final image, even if the silver armour has been tarnished and blackened.
