Good morning, patrons! Welcome, and thank you! I'm genuinely shocked that anyone signed up on day 1, but here you all are and I couldn't be happier! Let's get started.

I thought I'd make a fresh post of all the online resources that I use for my art. I'll update this list as I find more or links change, and curate as I go.

Reference material:

  • Photobash- PAID, some free.
https://www.photobash.org/ - Photobash is a catalogue full of high quality photography and royalty-free imagery. Their image packs are fantastic for niche projects, and reasonably priced.
  • Textures .com - FREE, paid extras
https://www.textures.com/ - a MASSIVE library of images suitable for texturing and for reference. I used this a lot when I was working on 3D models for college, and they give every user 15 free credits worth of downloads per day.
  • Posemaniacs - FREE
http://www.posemaniacs.com/ - a resource full of 3D humanoid models at varying angles. In my opinion lots of the poses are wooden and not very organic, but it can't be beaten for a quick dip into study sketches or to help you adjust your mental perspective on a pose.
  • Line of Action - FREE
https://line-of-action.com/ - A wonderful website for figure studies and drawing from reference. Provides tools for you to set up timed sessions, and an optional filter on what models you'd like to draw- including a very handy nudity toggle. They also have a store full of great art books to learn from.
  • The Etherington Brothers on Instagram or Twitter - FREE
    instagram.com/etheringtonbrothers/
    twitter.com/EtheringtonBros
A huge variety of creative tips in lovely colourful infographics and new ones get released incredibly often.
  • Unsplash - FREE
    https://unsplash.com/
An image library with free to use stock imagery.
