The blade of this sword is polished to a shine and engraved with runes that glow a soft blue. The pommel and crossguard are shaped to resemble curled leaves, and alternating blue and red feathers hang from the hilt. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. When an enemy uses their reaction to make a melee or ranged weapon attack against you, you can use your reaction to deal 2d8 radiant damage to the attacker.

This blade was said to be a gift from the palace blacksmith to the son of Emperor Rangovert for his bravery during the War of the Eight Scars. The feathers that adorn the hilt supposedly belong to a fearsome roc that the tyrannical Rhuth’ol the Kingslayer once rode into battle. It served as a reminder that cunning, courage, and strategy can prevail against an overwhelming horde.
