In my head, The stories I tell fall into three formats. There are the "movies" like Creating A Monster, The Losers, and The House of Pain, that are much more story-driven, with a lot of scenes taking place outside the ring. The fighting is still the focus, and there may even be more than one fight in the story, but there's a lot more character development.

At the other end of the spectrum are the minifights. The fights in the Lightweight tournament, the upcoming chuteboxing tournament, and the smaller fights I've done on commission fall into this category. Structured like a highlight reel or a recap of a fight that's already happened, the focus of these stories, besides entertainment, is just just really to let people know who won, who lost, and maybe reveal a little personality based on how they fight.

In-between those two extremes are the A _____ at the Fights stories. If the minifights are recaps, then these are the live broadcasts. Each story is one fight starting from when they enter the ring, and ending when only one fighter's left standing. There's no scenes outside the ring, but there's more space for the fight itself and scenes between rounds in the corners.

The first set of four stories, A Night at the Fights, is finished. Now it's time for... A Day at the Fights! Four fights! Eight fighters! One afternoon in the sunlight of the outdoor stadium!

Here's the poster for fight one, Melly and Bianca's pro debut! I'll have the other posters up this weekend. (If you couldn't tell, I've been having fun with the portrait studio I set up.)  I'll probably start working on it once The Losers is close to finished, so probably sometime in September.
