Unfortunately these are gonna be some unpleasant news...

If you're into gaming (specially into indie gaming) I'm pretty sure you have heard, read or received news about the game development engine UNITY, big games like Genshin Impact or indie games like Helltaker are developed in Unity, just to give an example.

I'm assuming you already heard the bad news but if not, here's the gist of it... they have changed their business model, they "remodeled" their terms and in short, they screwed their own users, unfortunately that includes The Waifu Kitchen as the game project it's made in... yeah Unity.

The release was planned for December, current year.

Yes we were THAT advanced into development progress, but alas we're gonna have to move to another development tool and that means some things are gonna have to change...

The game will be much more focused in the visual novel aspect, we're trying to keep the mini-games intact, (each lady having a personal mini-game plus a shared one for the steamy scenes), some things will have to be re-worked and some of them from a scratch, unfortunately... many.

Along with the game I'm writing the web novel that will be released at the end of this year, I wanted to release it along with the game but I don't think that will be possible now.

You can look for posts, comments and articles on this sad news because there are TONS of them everywhere currently, it is really a big thing among the developers community but I think I cannot put links to them here, luckily a quick search will reveal all the information you need in case you want to know more about this, all I can say is... this was a big hit to many of us who are developing games with everything we have, effort, time, money (since the last year every cent you donate here with your pledge is going to the game funding and of course part of my own) but we're down not out.

The game already has 1 year in development and 1000+ work hours just on my end our programmer has invested the same amount of time on his end maybe more and we're not letting that amount of work to go to waste, we'll find a way.

I'll see you next time with better news and more ladies, good night.
