Good morning folks,

I think I underestimated the amount of time needed on the backend code for this project. It has become a lot more ambitious than it was originally meant to be. The game was originally meant to be just a VN, but I decided to make it more interactable. As such, there were a lot of bugs and code that needed ironing out before I could work on actual story. The result is an update that has less content than I envisioned.

That being said, I really like what we have so far and I'm open to making adjustments in the future. I want to reiterate that stats literally do nothing (except with the exception of stamina). The idea is to have progressive scenes for each action you do, not sure if this is a good idea or not. I also learned how incredibly time-consuming it is to have alternative scenes. The goal of this game is to have:

  • Progressive daily/nightly actions
  • A main scene every week that you can just skip to if you don't feel like doing daily/nightly phases.
  • Having events that have slightly alternating paths/consequences each week

Those are my goals for the game. There's a lot of balancing crap that I need to do with stats at the moment too, which is tedious without testing it repeatedly. It's kinda like balancing money in Scarlet law. It's very time-consuming and I just didn't have enough time to finish it.

So yeah, that's it for this update for now. I had a lot of fun working on Trainer, but it's time to hop back on Scarlet Law. I miss working on lewd stuff and Trainer definitely doesn't have much at the moment. Again, I do apologize. I really expected myself being able to have more content for this update, but just ran out of time. I think someday, we might get to a point where I just release whenever I'm ready, but for now, I need to have something out early next month. The good news is that I'll have a FULL month to work on SL now, instead of 3 weeks like usual.
