Hey Patrons,

I usually make a separate post to discuss my thoughts on the update but I've decided to just merge them together into one post.

This month has been hard on me personally. I've been dealing with a lot of RL issues and it's taken an impact on the production of SL. Not only that, but I just feel burnt out in general. If you visit the Discord, you'll see me ranting about my mental well-being on a regular basis.

So I'm ashamed to admit that this is the smallest update I've ever released of SL. It contains only one scene that is non-nude and a new feature that will allow players to bring characters on dates to the beach (currently only Silvia). The purpose of this feature is to include a bit more sex into the game instead of waiting another X month(s) for me to write a new scene for a specific girl.

NOTE: Dating is unlocked after the current Makoto event.

There is currently only one character with a dating scene (Silvia). I was hoping to do one for Estelle, but I just couldn't finish in time. The goal of these little dates is to answer questions from the girls to reveal an H-scene. The questions are generally based on the girl's personalities but the ongoings of their lives. I think this may help players learn more about the girls they want to pursue and bring their characters to life.

It'll cost $2000 to start a date at the beach (and only on the weekends). You must raise mood points to 5 by the end of the event in order to access the H-scene. If you fail, you must either load a previous save or try again.

Mood points never drop below zero but can be increased over 5. Silvia has 8 questions that she will ask you (IIRC). I'm expecting most of you to be able to successfully reach the H-scene on the first try. If you pledged $10, you will also receive a PDF with the answers to the date in case you're too lazy to try and figure it out.

I was actually considering adding more questions so that it'd be easier to view the scene, but I didn't want to drag the event for too long. There's still a lot of room for tweaking and this event actually took more time than I usually do for a sex scene. I think a part of that is because I want the sex scenes to look BETTER and LONGER than they were before.

It's also worth noting that these scenes will not be included in the gallery and can only be accessed through dating.

Besides this feature, there isn't much else to talk about for 0.2.4. I really do apologize for the lack of content on this one. Believe me when I say that I'm sitting on my PC and working on SL every day (You can see for yourself on Discord!). Ideas and dialog just aren't coming to me as cleanly as before. Studying and writing code is also giving me a headache, especially when I work on new features. I really hope that I can recover and provide more next month. I expect to be busy this week and next, and I'm afraid it'll take a toll on SL as it did for this month. Next month though, we'll be finishing up Makoto's arc and jumping to someone else.

As I've mentioned repeatedly in the past, I love working on SL. I want to do this for a living. I want to keep telling stories through beautiful art and VN's. Thank you all for your continued support. I'll immediately jump into 0.2.5 tomorrow.
