Hey everyone,

I usually do a separate post where I talk about my thoughts for the update but I figured I'd save us both time and just write it here instead. I'm currently continuing with the story with Makoto's arc until we purchase her Scarlet contract, so if you're tired of her, I apologize. It'll probably be another month or two before we're done.

From working on Scarlet Law for the past year, I feel that it will be a much better experience if I just focus on one girl at a time. I was actually hesitant on working on Ferry's scene this update but figured I might as well make a scene for her since I was introducing her into the game already.

If you played the updates before 0.2.0, I just want to say that there have been some changes made to the storyline compared to before. You'll see for yourself when you get into the game and hopefully, you like it. I know that people often dislike change, especially when it involves a character they've grown attached to, but I think this is the right direction that the story should go to make Scarlet Law more interesting.

I also want to note, without spoiling too much, is that the silhouette character you'll see in this update is Estelle's model, but it is NOT her. I just figured I'd mention this now so that you don't try to squint your eyes and compare pixels to other characters to try and figure out who this person is.

I have to admit that I've been experiencing the biggest case of burnout since working on SL. I think it's finally gotten to the point where I should release less content than usual (e.g. 2 scenes instead of 3, and at least for next month) so that I can take a few days for myself. I've been literally working on SL every day for almost a year, without going on a vacation. If you visit the discord, you'll see that I'm online almost 24/7 (except for the hours I sleep). I actually experience burnout in RL quite frequently, and it usually lasts a few months before I make a full recovery. I hope that isn't the case with SL.

I was originally planning on doing another Makoto scene for this update, however, due to time constraints, it just wasn't possible. I think we need either one or two more updates to be done with the Makoto arc. Once her Scarlet contract is purchased, we can begin another character arc (either Serena or we jump into the powder girls arc).

Anyway, I think that's all for this update. As always, thank you all for your support. It really keeps me going. I've been a little depressed that the Patreon hasn't been growing these last four months, but I'm sure things will get better in the future. I still have goals of working on SL for a living and adding new and exciting elements to the game to keep it interesting.
