Hello my lovely patrons.

I'm very sorry I've been so quiet this month, it's basically become a waiting game with this printer chaos, one thing works then it doesn't then I see what else I could do, it works then it doesn't, and while all this is happening, there was a lot of dead time in between, so while I was taking a break from the constant frustration and failure of trying to get that printer to print, I got some interesting news from my landlord, after 8 years here, he was raising the rent, which sucks, but we actually have a good relationship with them and have kept the house in good condition, so while it does blow to have to drop more $$$ each month, he has actually started to renovate the outside of the house which is a plus because we know the money is being used for us.

I'm an elder millennial™ and as such also carry the millennial curse which is basically accepting the reality of probably never owning my own home 🥲 no matter how much I save, I feel it will never be enough, not even for a down payment.

But circling back to having a good relationship with the landlord, I had a little chat with him and asked for authorization to modify the house a bit. Since I won't be owning a home anytime soon, what I can own is my own little space in this house. The garage was expanded in the past (before we lived here) and they basically tore down a wall and opened a room in the back of the house and patched up the entryway, while our house is large, the rooms are pretty small; my current workshop room is barely 3x3m (9 sq ft) and super cramped, the room turned garage downstairs is larger at around 3.7x4m so I had the wild idea of putting up the wall again and making it an actual workshop room setup for my needs, both for model building and filming, he was super accommodating and accepted my request, it obviously helped when I said I'd foot the bill 😅 I'm literally doing homage to the hobby by painting my garage kits in my garage! That's where the name comes from in case you didn't know 😂

So this month has been getting all that done and everything basically halted everything to work on the new room. My sister works at a construction company so she helped me save a ton of $$$ with this project, so right now I'm in the process of getting the last few things down from the old room to the new one and I have to say that I though it was going to be easy, but it's been more chaos because I.... have a lot of shit and I need everything because like any good artist, I hoard things because you never know when you'll need it!!! 😂🥲

But I must say, the new place is finally something I can call my own and I'm very excited to start new adventures here!

The new room should be ready in a few days and the old room will now be a new guest room.

The magnetic plate for the printer arrived today too, so let's give this shit a final round, if not, I'm sending it back to elegoo and calling it quits with that model.

But for now, check out what this resin sniffer has been up to all this time.

This is a wide shot of my current room, as you can see, the walls have been mostly stripped and it's a pain to remove that double sided tape, I'll need to literally scrape them with a spatula, repatch and repaint the walls for this 😩

My literal garage being worked on lol

A whole car use to fit in here.

I didn't know what I was going to do with that weird corner, I though I'd use it for a small closet like organizer but then I realized that I could use that as a mini recording booth! So my recording gear is now setup in that little space.

Photography wall/ceiling mounts because tripods are so problematic when filming, so just put them on there permanently for when I'm filming on top of installing a photography backdrop roller to bring down a greenscreen

New floor cuz the old one is like 30+ years old and I hate that color and patter, decided to install some rent friendly vinyl tiles.

I couldn't pass on the chance to get some custom wall drip for the new place!!

Along with my treasured sailor moon posters I got in Japan!

 And finally, I custom desk!

I've gotten more things down but this is what it looks like so far.

I'm gonna do my first clickbait video with this 😂 make everything think that I'm closing down only to do a Shyamalan and give them a huge twist 🤣

I'm so excited for you! This is going to be so much fun! I remember when necessity made me swap rooms for crafting, and it ended up being a bigger space with better flow. It was SO nice! (And then I expanded into another room that has venting just for painting now which means I can finally really dig into my kits, finally!)

Came here from YT just to find out what's going on and I'm relieved to know that it's nothing bad. What an exciting update! It's definitely nice to have a new space for the creative juices to flow, and I cannot wait to see more videos done in this brand new room. Also, I have learnt to stick with one reliable brand of printer and resin so there won't be any failures that will delay my projects. I am not sure about Elegoo but sounds like you are having trouble with it, so maybe try Phrozen.

It really came together! Looks great! I wish I had any semblance of interior decorating skills. Suuper cozy!
