if the universe really is math, then the towel is a graphing calculator.

If we discover that modern maths — including real numbers, bits, and even supposedly "fundamental" concepts such as length and orthogonality — are actually unreachable classical limits of some far more subtle rule set, will we stop trying to put the subtly round pegs of experimental reality into the jagged, noisy, too-perfect square holes of outdated 1700s math, and maybe get back to figuring out how physics actually works?
