I was just checking out this image of the Vela Super Cluster , recenlty discoverd by the Australian National University, and wanted to let everyone know that the Space Time team is taking the week off for the holidays. We're excited to see you all in the New Year when we'll be posting an episode about real vs theoretical black holes and the answer to our Escape the Kugelblitz challenge answer. Thanks for making 2016 an awesome year! -Rusty

Happy Holidays and New Year. If you peeps have another holiday party around the corner, save some whisky for Matt! ;)

So I saw an animation of a collision between black holes. I remember from watching Space Time that if a monkey floated toward a black hole, as an observer, we'd see the monkey eventually stop (redshifted into oblivion) even though that money crosses the event horizon. So what would an observer see if we witnessed black holes colliding? I'm really, really interested in this answer.

Oh, new neighbors! Do we bake a cake and go say hi? Or invite them over for a barbecue? I don't know what's customary in the zone of avoidance ...

Hey guys, do you think there is a chance to explain Erik Verlinde's theories and explain how relevant or serious they could be taken?
