Time Travelers Invitation (Patreon)

Dear Time Travelers,

You are cordially invited to join Matt O'Dowd on the set of Space Time of October 10, 2019 at 3:36pm Eastern Standard Time. 

If you are reading this in what we would consider a distant future, a "set" is the term for the geophysical location where we convert audiovisual information into digital forms so we can manipulate them later. We are located in a place called Queens, NY which is best known as the location for the 1980's documentary "Coming To America." 

We will be happy to give you the exact address if you email PBSspacetime@gmail.com with the subject line "I Am A Time Traveler" and let us know the details of a very specific event that happens six months to one year AFTER the date of your email. Once this event is confirmed, we will send you specific coordinates. If you are unfamiliar with what an email is, you really need to do some research before coming to this time period. It's weird.

Coordinates relative to what? Maybe there are time travellers, but they can't get their spatial coordinates right and wind up in the middle of nothing.

We would be happy to accept your invitation. To prove our identity, we come from a branch of the universal wave function where experiment 1321b, measuring the spin of a carbon atom, conducted at MIT, comes out to the result: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A. It was taken as a simple curiosity at the time. When "you" find yourself on this branch, please do send the exact spacetime coordinates. Relative to the Earth is fine, as we can derive the rest of the coordinates ourselves.

I'm newer to supporting SpaceTime, so can someone please help me understand what's going on here? I'm so confused (and feeling really stupid or left out of the joke) ;-)
