Hey all,

We thought you'd like an update on what we're planning for the next while. In our series on quantum field theory we laid a lot of important groundwork for some very fun stuff. In fact we unlocked two new skill branches! There's the vacuum energy--Unruh/Hawking radiation--information paradox path, and the gauge theory--standard model--grand unified theory path. We're going to start with the first one, just because it's what we feel like doing right now. However we'll get to both, and once we've done so we'll have unlocked some pretty high level stuff, like some string theory and the holographic principle.

As always, this will be interspersed with a variety of other spacey/physicsy stuff. That means it'll take us some time to get through it all. We hope you'll stay for the ride!

Would buy poster of physics skill tree :-)

Great, Guys! I am looking for two parameters: - The velocity of quantum fluctuations (if is it possible...) - The amplitude of these oscillations. At first, I found studying they are very tiny and unmeasurable... Now I am studying Math and Physics lectures in Portuguese videos. My mother's language.... Have you have ever heard about "emotional resonance" when you listen in own language? Your videos INSPIRE!!! 🙏🙏🙂

Thanks for the update to the two new skill branches. I'm also looking forward to the other spacey/physicsy stuff. New discoveries or developments in this "stuff", explained and presented by you, is really interesting too (like the new LIGO discoveries). Thx

Ah... Guys.... About last lecture of constants.... More I study more I think that in physics we need to find relativistic answers, depending on what dimension of reference we are, you know? "It is a continumm" ;-)

Another thing about constant.... How Precise can we measure the Velocity of Causality in Universe - Speed of light, using our available technology? 🤔

Is there any equation establishing the relationship between the Fine Structure Constant and The Speed of Light? 🤔

Is it me or has there been a dearth of Star Trek sound effects recently?

Spacey/Physicsy stuff? LOL, Loopy/Fuzzy. Loop QG? Q foam? Next level maybe. Thanks for all your energy, intelligence and applied logic. Love everything about this show since it's beginning. It's taught me a lot while being entertaining with great visuals! Physics on Kahn Academy and MIT/OCW has also taught a lot without the cool graphics. Looking forward to future shows! Keep up the good work guys! Thank you again!

I would love to see an episode about Dr. Mike McCullough's theory of quantized inertia. http://physicsfromtheedge.blogspot.co.uk/ Despite having no adjustable parameters, his theory has successfully matched data from many cosmological anomalies such as galactic flat rotation curves and more.

Ooh if yall are gonna talk about gauge theory, could u please go into a bit of detail about like Lie Groups? That would be so cool, good luck!

Yusssssss vacuum energy!! I am Amped, been wanting that one.

Same here, that would be a great topic.
