Gotta preface this by saying that I am in NO WAY trying to justify the shooters actions. It was horrible and I’m glad he’s dead. That being said, the shooter was actually two grades above me in high school. He actually dated my cousin for a little bit. And his mom on the call wasn’t really wrong. Before this he hadn’t really done anything wrong. I always thought he seemed a decent guy any time we had conversation. The morning this happened, all my friends were talking about what was happening and I honestly couldn’t believe it. Again, good riddance and rot in hell. But it was completely out of no where that something like this happened

People can fool you. I had friends [ a couple ] whom I've known for decades who stole 1000 dollars from me and I was flat-out stunned by their actions. We did things together, visited each other, and our kids were friends and yet they had no problem stealing from me. I never dreamed in a million years that they would screw me over like that. but they did.

I'm in Louisville. The first caller on the video meeting was on Brownsboro she said, so she was not close. Still in Louisville, but not close by. Officer Nick Wilt is recovering. He's so far been able to have normal conversations, use a treadmill a bit, etc, but the long term prognosis is not yet known. Also, sometimes parents are held accountable for gun violence by their children, if they gave them access to guns in a negligent or malicious manner.
