I think his body is really his own. I mean, when he awoke as a skeleton, he had his clothes from when he was alive. He also still had some of his equipment, such as the flasks that he used in episode 1 to collect the slime liquid.

I think it's really cute that Lorraine didn't know where her letters were, and then immediately thought about asking Rentt where they'd be within her own house. This tells us a lot about their relationship, and it's really cute. Oh, and also how it's implied that Rentt used to cook for her regularly. I ship them so much.
