I agree I also loved seeing Gus, like it was so funny that the first thing he asked for was if Will gotten lot of money. As he was not even worried about his safety seeing how much Blood did train him. But what really crack me up was how he asked and talked about Will’s romance life or lack there of. Like how he did go on about his fantasy of meeting an bandit girl. But Will saying that he had only saved guys with that descriptions. Also is not elves rather femboyish in general lol

Overall, the pacing of the story in this season of the anime adaptation feels quite rushed. From the skipping of almost the entirety of Reystov and Anna's relationship besides her seeing Reystov off, to the skipping of almost all detailed explanations of stuff, to now also skipping the retelling of the exploits of the people whose weapons and armors the characters are taking (particularly the story of Telperion's life, for his story is great and I was really looking forward to it being shown as Meneldor recount the tale). All in all, the main plot points are still here, but many of the details and small things here and there that made it great are either missing or are there but feel rushed. I understand that stuff has to be changed and skipped for the story to fit within the season, but I just feel like they could've done a bit better. Though admittedly, I don't really know how to do that and I'm likely just feeling like that because I care too much. I just hope that it doesn't feel rushed nor incomplete from the point of view of anime-onlys.
