might be the best episode so far of the season. I really like Ru's addition to this and seeing all the teachings Will got in S1 now being applied to this dwarf

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

Something of note about Ru and Menel's sparring session that wasn't mentioned in the anime adaptation: Menel is actually faking not feeling hurt from the moment Ru started attack more strongly (the part where we saw Menel block several hits in a row with his shield and then got hit in the stomach). This is also the reason he prefers to eat in a different location after the spar. Because he doesn't want Ru to see him(Menel) feeling hurt and see the several big bruises he got. Ru is around this time(the spar and the grappling session we saw before) stated in Will's thoughts to actually have a LOT of natural raw strength. The problem is that Ru is too kind and is afraid of hurting people, and as a result subconsciously holds back by a huge amount. THIS is the main reason why Menel handles a lot of the sparring with Ru before Ru gets used to it. Because unlike Will, Menel's personality makes it easier for him to force Ru in a corner (psychologically during sparring) to force Ru to use his real strength. And then Menel acts as though he's fine even though it actually hurts like hell.

I liked various part of this episode. Like how Will is showing that he is scared to fight powerful opponent. And saying that bravery is not fighting against something that you probably can defeat. But also how they did bring up the moral complexity of the gods. As the god of the undead Stagnate is not actually mean or evil. Also I was right last week when I did speculate about Ru being of noble blood
