I love how scary and powerful that boss was. Like he easily defeated most of the characters. But also interesting how he said “Why should it be wrong if I hunted you? Because you did come here to haunt me for sport” I just love it when a villain point out flaws like that in the morality of the heroes. But the scariest part was how he did choke Shui and Humely and sent lot of electric though then until their heart stop beating. Anyway in season 2 I hope that Boxxo turns into a pizza vending machine🍕

For Shui’s chest plate, it’s because she is an archer. It’s to protect her from the recoil of firing an arrow. The original light novel was very Male Gaze and had Boxxo basically admit in his POV that he liked being able to use his vending machine form to get away with perving. In fact, one of the first things he did was look down at sleeping Lammis and observe her breasts from above (something I always worried about taller men doing to me so I would do anything I could to block that view), and when washing their clothes, he used the moment to observe Lammis and Hulemy in their half-dressed/nude states, noting what sort of underwear they liked and again noting he liked Lammis’ breasts. So thank goodness the anime did NOT take those routes! Hinting at him being a “healthy man” in his past life? Sure. His sheepish “not my fault they brought me to a bathhouse where I can see everything, totally not why I made sure I can provide bath products~”? Fine. I could handle those because they were a passing thing and that was it, but the light novel did it too much for my comfort… Anyway, I did still enjoy the anime, it was wholesome, cute, did give me feels in the last couple of episodes and a fun watch! Looking forward to season 2!
