I've heard a few people talk about how it's weird that "everybody" has a tragic backstory and that nobody is normal, but in the overall scheme of Japan in this universe, that's probably true. It's just that this is the Demon Slayer corps, and these are the kinds of stories that bring these people together to fight like this. Muichiro's in particular is quite tragic, but I love where it's leading his character. Looking forward to the review later!

it'd be pretty weird for a normal person to die early fighting an impossible threat, only those that have suffered from demons would truly give it their all. sounds like the same people who might complain backstories slow things down when without them it'd be a pointless action show lol
